Being my birthday…well, technically yesterday now, but since I have not been to sleep yet it still counts…I allowed myself a slice of lovely gooey coffee cake, I can’t remember the last time I had cake. I had requested that no one get me any naughty foods, and mainly people obliged….but my poor Dad was distraught at the thought of no coffee cake, it’s his favourite and a long birthday tradition in my family – so he went ahead and made one himself – this is insane, my Dad hasn’t never made a cake in his life, but he did a pretty good job

I have to say though…I feel sickly now, really sickly. I only got a small piece, so it’s not like I gorged…I am not sure now if it is just in my head, because I know I just ate something naughty, or if it’s really made me a little sick simply because I am no longer used to such sugary foods? Either way, I won’t be going back for seconds – which can only be a good thing
