I lost 2lbs while on holiday, wow.

So I weighed myself, I was at 12 stone - I literally jumped up and down, I was expecting to have put on a few lbs minimum…but to put it bluntly, I hadn’t been to the loo for a few days and I was fully clothed and I had just had a big meal - so I suspected I might be even less. I weighed in again this morning, after clearing myself out (ewww, sorry :P), not having any food in my belly and stark naked, 11.12. WOW. I lost 2lb.

Obviously this thrills me, but it also confuses the heck out of me. How can I lose 2lbs when I am not being too careful about what I eat and not working out at all? It only goes to confirm to me what I have long suspected, and that’s that I am doing something wrong, if only I knew what. So I am going to increase my calories by 200 per day and only work out every other day - it’ll be interesting to see how it goes.

And this is a bit disheartening, I went to check my current BMI for updating the stats in my sidebar and I am still 13lbs into the ‘obese’ category - that means I still have to get down to 10.13 before I am classed as just ‘overweight’ - ugh.

I have set my next mini goal as 11.8 as that will be 4 stone lost in total.

  1. The good news is that your metabolism seems to be keeping up with your holiday, which means you should be able to do some real damage now that you’ll have a more controlled eating plan.

    Yes, it sucks to be in the “O” column, but we’re headed in the right direction!
