One of the many things I love about getting healthier is that I have so much more energy. It’s funny because when you are overweight and lazy the mere thought of getting up off that sofa and going for run tires you out — you wonder how anyone with a busy life finds the time and energy to work out each and every day.
When you actually start to do it you realise that actually it makes you feel good and rather than sapping your energy it gives you more. These days I feel like a lazy bum on the two days per week I take off from working out, and often find myself trying to burn calories in other ways regardless.
It also means you sleep much better, I used to suffer from insomnia but that’s no longer much of an issue — when my head hits the pillow I am out for the count most nights.
I was reading about bioidentical hormone replacement a while ago, and this can actually help with similar things — boosting your energy and aiding with insomnia among others, it makes for an interesting read and might be worth looking into for yourself if you can’t get on the ‘Working out is great’ train for whatever reason
