I had finally decided that it was time for me to brave the outside this year, and start jogging and walking again.

The weather had started to get better, spring had sprung and winter was gone — so I went out and treated myself to new walking boots and a few hoodies in preparation. I almost got some new running shoes as well as my old ones are getting a little on the worn side, but decided that I would try hold off for a little while to see if I could get a killer bargain on some — I had done enough splurging for one week.

Of course on the day I had decided to start, the weather had turned nasty, really nasty.

High winds, pouring rain and freezing cold. It is like being back in the worst of the winter weather this week, isn’t that just typical luck?

I suppose ultimately it doesn’t matter, the weather will come good again soon enough and then I will be fully prepared with my new gear — it’s just I find it difficult to motivate myself into outside exercise so when I am ready for it and then can’t do it it is awfully frustrating!

I will just have to stick with my elliptical and Wii Fit this week, I am going to attempt to do two hours each day again this week. I did it last week and was initially really disappointed because I had not lost any weight, but when I weighed in again last night I had lost a pound…so will now definitely repeat the effort this week, I would be thrilled if I could lose 1 pound per week :)
