I have just spent a lot of time on a website that aims to teach How Wheat Works in a fun and informative way – the site is created and run by the Wheat Foods Council and I think it’s a great idea. Educating people in the benefits of eating whole food but in way that actually makes it interesting, especially to kids and younger teens who may be less interested in eating healthily than adults :)

It’s an online game or sorts where you grow your own food and follow it through several stages, from planting it to it being on the shelves for sale.

There is also a whole host of great information available, from great recipes for you to try out to what produce you can buy locally in your area.

A great addition as well is that for each person who signs up and takes part the Council will donate two pounds of flour, to Operation Homefront, an organisation that helps U.S. troops and their families who are in need. Of course it is totally free to sign up and take part so this is a great way for everyone to get involved and help out.

Great website :)
