Well I managed to complete Week 1 of Couch to 5k despite a migraine and getting my period last week. I am very pleased with myself.

Today I start Week 2 – running for 90 seconds at a time instead of 60 – I hope it’s OK. Looking outside right now the weather looks wet and miserable, it will be the first time I’ve been out in the rain so it will be interesting to see how it affects me.

I have also created my own podcast for the week which makes me feel like a huge nerd, but I decided after run 1 that watching the clock and remembering when I needed to be doing what simply wasn’t going to work for me – so I had a look online and downloaded some existing podcasts and found all of them awful.

No offense to the people who made them but I don’t need to hear all the talking, a lot of them are like sitting through an advert once you are done listening to them talk about their own journey and plans and plugging their websites. I don’t care to hear all that and I don’t need you interrupting the music every few minutes with ‘motivational sayings’. I just wanted something with the prompts and some banging tunes, simple.

So that’s what I created. I am not claiming it’s the best produced one out there but if it works out for me this week I will create more and hopefully get better. If you like you can download it here :)
