I posted my last entry before I had weighed in for my mid week weigh in, just assuming I wouldn’t have lost - well I did, I lost 2lbs! I actually weighed myself 3 or 4 times because I couldn’t quite believe it, I thought the scale must be wrong…but every time it came back the same, 11 stone and 7 pounds. Wow. It feels amazing to have finally got to that mini goal, it had been a long time coming.

I now weigh 11 and a half stone, I have now lost over 4 stone, my main goal is getting closer.

You’ll also notice that I have set my next mini goal as 10.13, this is actually a big one…usually I do it 3, 4, maybe 5 pounds at a time, given how long it can take me to lose weight it just makes sense to keep them small….so 8lbs is huge, and if things continue as they have then it’s going to be around 3 months before I get to it! But that’s OK because it’s an important one - not only for the obvious reason that it makes me 10 stone something, and I have not seen the 10 stones anything mark in at least 5 years, but also because it’ll mean my BMI is 29.9, officially in the ‘overweight’ category rather than the obese category I have been sitting unpretty in for many years.

Finally, lost 2lbs!

Oh boy, it feels good to see that scale move again…soooooo good.

I weighed myself on Sunday and was 11.9 instead of the beastly 11.11 I have been stuck at for over 2 months :)
I am only blogging about it now though because I was worried it was just a temporary blip and the 11.11 would return, but it’s stayed off for 3 days so that’s good enough for me to believe it.

I am now 1lb away from having lost 4 stone. 1lb away from reaching my next mini goal…and I already know what my next mini goal will be.

Here’s to hoping it keeps coming off now it’s started again, but I won’t be holding my breath

Going clothes shopping!!

Well, I am just about to head off to bed, because tomorrow I am going shopping…yay. Something that is long overdue, I need new clothes!

It’s so strange though, because it’s like although the weight loss has been gradual…all of my clothes still fit, some were getting lose, a few didn’t fit at all, but generally it was fine and then BOOM, in the last month or so everything stopped fitting and I am at the stage where I just have nothing to wear, pants especially.

I am going on holiday in a few weeks so need to get some new stuff. It’s amazing to think that the last time I went pant shopping I was buying size 20s, and tomorrow I will be shopping for 16s…maybe even 14s…I tried on my old coat last night, a coat that I was wearing when me and my OH first got together 5 years ago and I weighed 2 stone less than I do now, and it almost fit, sooo nearly, but ever so slightly too tight…and I have a pair of size 14 black trousers in my wardrobe from the same time that almost fit.

Exciting, shopping and being thinner….2 of every womans most favourite things? :)

Another small little success.

I was trying on some clothes yesterday, as I have a funeral to attend on Friday, and I was pleased to see that some black trousers that have not fit me in several years now do. Yay. These are pants that I was wearing 5 years ago when my other half and I first got together, the last time I tried them on a few months ago they were no where near…and now, despite not having really lost a lot more weight since then, they fit like a glove :)

I lost 2lbs while on holiday, wow.

So I weighed myself, I was at 12 stone - I literally jumped up and down, I was expecting to have put on a few lbs minimum…but to put it bluntly, I hadn’t been to the loo for a few days and I was fully clothed and I had just had a big meal - so I suspected I might be even less. I weighed in again this morning, after clearing myself out (ewww, sorry :P), not having any food in my belly and stark naked, 11.12. WOW. I lost 2lb.

Obviously this thrills me, but it also confuses the heck out of me. How can I lose 2lbs when I am not being too careful about what I eat and not working out at all? It only goes to confirm to me what I have long suspected, and that’s that I am doing something wrong, if only I knew what. So I am going to increase my calories by 200 per day and only work out every other day - it’ll be interesting to see how it goes.

And this is a bit disheartening, I went to check my current BMI for updating the stats in my sidebar and I am still 13lbs into the ‘obese’ category - that means I still have to get down to 10.13 before I am classed as just ‘overweight’ - ugh.

I have set my next mini goal as 11.8 as that will be 4 stone lost in total.

Another lb gone

Another 1lb lost this week, hurrah. It’s not 2lb like it was for the last two weeks, but it means 5lbs over the last three weeks and that is pretty major for me. Only one more to go and I will be down to 12 stone, that’s been a pretty big mini goal in my head ever since I started this weight loss malarky over a year ago now, so it’s going to feel awesome to finally get there! Only 2lb more to be below 12 stone, into the 11s, yay :)

Step it up week # 2 - success

I could have swarn the I posted this last Wednesday night after I had weighed in, but apparently not. Hmm.

I continued with the same pattern, logging every thing, aiming for a 1000 deficit each day and again I lost 2lbs, that’s 4lbs in 2 weeks which is mega for me. I can’t wait to see how I go this week though, I was on my period last week and that’s been known to do a whole world of funky things to my weight…so I am not counting my chickens just yet. I’d be thrilled if I could keep up this pace though :)

Step it up week - success

So, yay. Last night was weigh in day after ’step it up week’ and I was thrilled to see I had gone from 12.6 to 12.4, a 2lb loss in one week is huge for me. All I did was make sure I was logging everything, every morsel that entered my mouth was counted…and I was aiming for a 800 - 100 deficit per day, it was too easy and most days I found myself having to eat up extra calories which makes me a bit suspect that I am doing something wrong, there’s so many numbers I wonder if I worked it out wrong etc, but the 2lb result seems to suggest I did good.

Here’s my daily deficits:

Thurs: 1150
Fri: 960
Sat: 1000
Sun: 850
Mon: 1025
Tues: 650
Wed: 1050

Making a total of 6685.

So plans for this week? much the same, see if I can pull it off again or if it was just a fluke/because I changed up my habits. Fingers crossed and I will keep you updated.

Random - 3lbs

So yesterday was meant to be the start of my slighty changed regime - breakfast, and an increse of 200 calories per day. I was all set to start, but then got thrown a curve ball…I weighed myself on Sunday evening as I usually do, 12.8 still for the 4th weigh in in a row, no change since I hit my 3 stone lost mini goal. Then I weighed myself on Wednesday night in preperation for starting this…12.5, what? I lost 3lbs in 3lbs?! That’s insane, especially as I wasn’t working out or any thing - Tuesdays and Wednesdays are my days off.

I am pleased but also confused, I can go a month working hard and not lose any thing…then I go and drop 3lb in 3 days with mininmal effort. I will never understand how my body works.

So I have decided not to change my routine this week, I will see how things go for a while and then rethink. Ja.

I can’t believe that some how I managed to not post to announce that I made it to 12.8, I think it is because I weighed in right before bed and my computer was off, I had planned to blog about it in the morning but I forgot. I do have that habit, if I fail to do something ‘right now’ I will forget, curse my old brain.

So yes, I did it…in a week when I hadn’t worked out at all due to a migraine (which is still lingering by the way, is it normal for a migraine to last 10 days, jeez) and wasn’t expecting to have lost any thing, I lost the 1lb I needed to bring me down to 12.8. That’s 3 stone lost in almost exactly a year, that’s 42lbs. I’m happy with that, I watch shows like The Biggest Loser and get insanely jealous when they drop a stone in one week - but really, those aren’t ‘real people in real situations’ - I think that a steady weight loss of 3 stone in 1 year is acceptable :)

I only wish I could tell more, it’s crazy to think I have lost so much but I can barely see it on myself.

I have called my next mini goal 12 stone, that’s 8lbs away and means I will have lost a total of 50lbs - it’s a pretty big goal for me as well, 12 stone was a number I had in my head when I first started out, it sort of symbolises the time in my head when I turn from a big fat blob, into some one who is just over weight. I’ll still have a long way to go, but I will feel a lot happier about myself at 12 stone.
