I have been coping terribly without my elliptical, I feel lost without it. Thankfully I managed to find a new one, a better one, that I have now ordered…it will be with me by Monday. Only another 3 day to go without it! There’s one thing that this has taught me though, I need to be less reliant on it…I really should change up my routine any way, I am sure doing the same thing every day (70+ interval training on elliptical) isn’t the most effective thing I can be doing. I managed to download a fitness DVD that I have been doing most nights, and have managed to at least not gain any thing. Once I have my lovely new machine I shall think about switching things up, so I am perhaps doing elliptical one night, aerobics the next etc
Here it is, it’s actually a whole 40cm shorter than my old machine…this is awesome because it really did take up a lot of room. It also has a “3 target + body fat user programmes” facility on it, I am not even sure what that means…but my old machine certainly didn’t have it

Thank you to those who have commented here lately, when I created this blog I really only created it for myself but I have found recieving comments and visiting other peoples sites who are also losing weight is very motivational
Worst.News.Ever though…well, not quite, but my home elliptical broke last night. I have had it since November and used it happily for 5 days a week since, last night after a few minutes use it started to make this awful grinding noise, after another few minutes it became more and more difficult to use. I stepped off it and had a poke around, trying to see if I could work out where the noise was coming from. When I got back on it a few moments later it would simply not move, not an inch, not even with two people on it trying to get it moving – what the heck?! Does any one happen to have any idea what might have happened? I have contacted the place I bought it from and they have said to return it, but they no longer sell that one so it won’t be replaced…that means I will be without a home machine for many weeks as I try and find a reasonably priced replacement…so I would much rather fix it. Has the flywheel gone? Has the magnetic thingy gone?
Ahh, I just don’t know what to do with myself without it. I am not yet ready for working out in public. I’d go out and buy some sort of fitness DVD but of course my DVD player just happens to be broken also. Ha. Oh what to do what to do.

Goal |
I lost that pesky 1lb and another one on top. 2lbs in one week is actually a big deal for me, I am an extremely slow loser and can literally go for a month without losing any thing some times. I would be the happiest person alive if I were able to lose 2lbs a week consistently. That is part of the reason that setting myself mini goals is so important, looking at losing a few pounds to half a stone doesn’t seem any where near as daunting as having over 5 stone to lose!
My next mini goal is 12 stone 8lb, that will mean that overall I have lost 3 stone. I don’t expect to get there for at least another month or so though. Hopefully by my birthday, which also happens to be the day I started my weight loss journey one year ago

I am going to be weighing in tonight, and I am really really hoping to have lost at least 1lb so that I can say I now weight 12 stone something, rather than 13 stone something, or 15 stone something as I started out as. I have tried really hard this week, I have worked out every day for up to 80 minutes, I have been great with my calories and I have been trying desperately to ditch the night time carbs. Gosh I hope that’s enough. Fingers crossed for me.

Working Out |
So I have just been away for an entire week, and I was very nervous about going because I knew that I wouldn’t be able to work out at all and wouldn’t have complete control over what I was eating. I went for the dreaded weigh in tonight and…I lost 4lbs…that is actually my biggest weight loss in a week since I started this thing almost a year ago. Go figure. Some times I think your body just does what it wants to do, I can have ‘good as gold’ weeks and lose nothing, then ‘bad’ weeks and lose 4lbs.
I’m not complaining, I now weigh 13 stone, I have officially lost over 2 and a half stone, I am just 1lb away from weighing 12 stone something. I feel like I am getting somewhere!

Working Out |
So my name is Toria, I am a 27 year old who works from home via my computer 6 days a week and and I live in the UK. I am just 5 foot tall and I currently weigh 13.4 stone (186 lbs). I have been overweight my entire life, I don’t know what it’s like to not be overweight – but a few years ago I ballooned from a chubby 10.2, to my highest ever weight thanks to being lazy and not caring what I ate, going on the contraceptive pill and quitting smoking, I gained over 5 stone in just 2 years. When I first started my weight loss journey 10 months ago I weighed 15.8 stone (218 lbs) so have already lost almost 2 and a half stones. I set myself mini goals all the time to help keep me motivated and my next one is 12.13, under 13 stones. I am currently going through somewhat of a difficult period with my weight loss however and have been stalled at around the same weight since early December 2007, things seem to keep getting in the way at the moment, Christmas, illness, a holiday away from home etc. But I am determined to stick at it and get things back on track.

I am going to spend the next few days getting this website up to scratch. I can’t wait to really get this place going, tell you who I am, what I am trying to do and how far I have already come. I will also be sharing loads of great resources and tips with you. But right now…right now I have to go get my daily work out, it’s an hour on the elliptical for me tonight

Healthy eating, Working Out |
LosingPounds.org is going to be my home on the internet for logging my personal weight loss journey. This site is as personal as they come. Hopefully along the way I will be able to provide you with some useful resources and information I come across a long the way, as well as hopefully give you some laughs.
In the coming weeks I will be giving you some background information on me and where I have already come in my journey, getting trackers and logs up and making this place beautiful. See you soon.
