It looks like my little trip away was just what the doctor ordered, I finally braved a weigh in and to my (somewhat) surprise I had lost a few pounds. I was 10.5 when I headed away and am now 10.2 after two weeks of little exercise and indulgence.

Happy days.

I say indulgence, I wasn’t that bad. I say little exercise, but I actually did a lot of walking and generally being busy. So that’s why I am only somewhat surprised as I know from past experience that a chance in routine can often be a really good thing for a diet – so I was hoping (but not expecting) that this would happen

Back to being a good girl now though, let’s see if we can get out of the 10 stone range quickly!

Have you guys heard about Dungeon Runners? It’s a new, slightly surreal sounding, role playing game that features little critters known as Bling Gnomes. A Bling Gnome is a..err..well blinged out gnome that follows you around collecting the items you leave behind, then basically poos them out as gold – I did say it was slightly surreal sounding, right? lol

At the moment they are holding holding a “Pimp Your Gnome” contest – you can win a copy of the game and a $350 Best Buy Gift Card. Here’s what you have to do enter for your chance to win – dress a gnome, or dress up as a gnome. Make your gnome the blingyest, most tricked out little fella and you could be the lucky winner. Seems like a fun and easy contest to me, please let me know if any of you decide to enter.

You can also hit up DungeonRunners.com right now and view videos and stills from the game as well as download a free version of the game, then if you like it you can purchase a subscription that allows access to a whole load of extra content.

No more weight loss since I got back off holiday, but I am finally back into the swing of things I think – tonight I had what felt like an awesome work out, 400 calories in 40 minutes, sweating like a mad woman – felt great afterwards, don’t you just love it when you get those ones? I generally still hate working out, hate it, but sometimes I get really into it…wish I could have gone on longer but I had places to be! I am still on 1400 calories a day rather than the 1200 I had been on for a year previous to that.

I might be going away again for a few days at the start of next week though, which is a bit of bad timing, but that’s not decided yet – it’s my other halfs birthday so I feel I ought to go with him…but…meh. We’ll see we’ll see.

Hopefully my next entry will include a loss, I did some maths last night and it’s taken me 4 months to lose the last stone…ouch….why can’t it just drop off me like it seems to every one else? lol

One thing that I have to do before I go away on holiday at the start of next week, is get 2 presents sorted…one for my dad for Father’s day and one for my brother’s 30th birthday – both of which happen while I am away. I have mentioned before I am sure that I find the men in my life so difficult to buy for, women are easy.

So I was pleased when I came across the Personalized flash drives from Pexagon Tech, giving a regular flash drive as a gift is not very interesting let’s be honest, it’s a purely practical thing and not the sort of gift I would normally give – but add in the ability to make it personal and I am sold, as well as being able to select the colour and size, you can get both sides engraved absolutely free – plus if you follow the link I posted above you can get an extra 20% off, meaning you can get the ideal Father’s day gift for as little as $8.79.

Heck I want one myself, a nice shocking pink one from my other half on our anniversary would be perfect, hint hint darling if you are reading this

Day one of ‘Step it up’ week went well, I did 55 minutes on the elliptical and burned 505 calories…according to the read out on it (who knows how accurate that is?), it certainly helped that I was watching the finale of The Biggest Loser USA while I was doing it – thrilled to see Bernie take the at home prize, and glad a woman has finally won the title so that now maybe everyone can stop going on about it lol

Diet has been good, slight under eat of about 50 calories but I can live with that.

Total daily deficit = 1205

err…actually that’s not as good as I thought, I was aiming for 800 – 1000 per day, I must have been working it out wrong as I was going along because I thought I was right on target. Darn it. Will do better tomorrow.

Hopefully along the way I will be able to provide you with some useful resources and information I come across a long the way, as well as hopefully give you some laughs.

In the coming weeks I will be giving you some background information on me and where I have already come in my journey, getting trackers and logs up and making this place beautiful. See you soon.
