I have realised that I have been gaining and losing the same 5lbs for almost 8 months now, it’s getting a little silly.

The scales hit 8.10 at one point before Christmas and that’s the lowest I have ever been – but I gained 3lbs over Christmas and it’s been up and down and every where in between since. I have been ‘ping ponging’ between 8.11 and 9.1 ever since! I am ready for an actual loss that sticks and to finally get to update the ‘amount lost to date’ to a new number.

I completed Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and I didn’t lose any weight. I have started doing dance games on the wii, been doing more strength/weights than usual, started running again, swimming, started eating more calories, tried eating less etc – I am changing it up and trying new things all the time and although I may see some loss (or gain) as mentioned, none of it seems to stick!

With a BMI of around 24 still I find it hard to believe that my body is just ‘done’ and at the weight it wants to be at, and so close to two big milestones – 3lb off 7 stone loss and 5lbs off 100lbs loss – so I am more than a little bit at a loss about the whole thing.

The good thing about the Fall TV season kicking off is that I love all the shows that are returning, the bad thing about the Fall TV seasons kicking off is that I love all the shows that are returning – hehe

See I’d love to be able to sit on my behind and just watch all the premieres that are airing at the moment, but if I do that then I don’t find the time to work out – I try to limit my TV time to no more than 2 hours per day (which is still quite a lot in my opinion) and usually try to watch it while I am eating so that I am not just ‘wasting’ time. But I need more hours in the day at the moment.

It’s a good job I have Tivo that never fails to record the things I want and even manages to pick up premieres of shows I didn’t even realise I wanted to watch until after it’s been on gone.

They also have a contest you can Enter to Win a new Tivo Slide at the moment, it only runs for a few more days so get in quick for your chance to win. I moved house on August 23rd and have gone from living with my parents to living with my boyfriend – I don’t think I really realised just how much they did for me at home until it stopped because at the moment I feel like I don’t even have a minute to myself.

Things were pretty strange the first few days and we did eat a lot of take away and general bad food but we quickly got back on track and I am pleased to say we are back to good healthy eating and I have even managed to lose a couple of pounds. I weight less than 9 stone for the first time in my entire life now

I have also got back into running, my knee plays up a little bit still sometimes but it’s not like it was – because of the gap in running I have gone backwards a bit and am having to build it back up again, but I hope to be back up to running for around 40 minutes soon enough.

Things are looking good.

There are a lot of sites online that seem to concentrate on drastic weight loss though, rather than slow, steady weight loss – I suppose because that’s what a lot of people are looking for these days.

I know when I started out and did the maths in my head and realised that at the rate I was losing weight I would still be in the overweight category in three years time I almost gave up, many times. But ultimately managed to talk myself into sticking at it because that time was going to pass regardless – so I could either age three years and still be 100 pounds overweight or I could age three years and be a much more happy and confident person due to losing 100 pounds

I just came across another site with a wealth of information about diet and weight loss and am going to work my way through some of the posts this afternoon.

When I was growing up I always had to wear eyeglasses, from around the age of 5 until I was about 18. I actually really liked wearing them – the day I used to go pick out a new pair was like a birthday to me.

Of course this changed when I got older and had to pay for them myself, I had no idea how much they cost before that – my poor parents must have spent $1000s on them for me.

I have missed them since I stopped needing to wear them, but at the same time was happy about the money I was saving.

Now I have found a site where you can get them for as little as $8, yes I said $8. It’s a a well known and respected company, they even had an article written about them in The Examiner recently.

At $8 I think I am going to order some with plain lenses to start wearing – I no longer need a prescription but that doesn’t mean I can’t still were glasses if I want to, right?

I think I am going to go for a nice black rimmed pair, keep it simple and classic – though they have an awful lot of much more funky ones to choose from.

I just realised it is now more than three years since I started out on my weight loss ‘journey’, and I hate calling it that because it’s so Biggest Loser – but really that’s what it has been.

I remember having many times of despair along the way, when it was hard, or weight loss was slow and thinking to myself that at this rate I will still be fat in 3 years – I managed to talk myself around by pointing out that I may still be fat in 3 years, but I’d certainly be a lot less fat and more healthy if I stuck with it than if I didn’t. That 3 years was going to pass either way, so I may as well stick at it – right?

And now here it is 3 years later, and yes I am still technically fat according to my BMI – but only just, I am very nearly at my goal and let me tell you I am infinitely happier and more confident in my own skin that I was then

According to NASA, rebounding is “the most efficient and effective exercise yet devised by man” and 68% more efficient than treadmills.

Not only will this help burn fat, increase fitness, coordination and strength it also apparently has benefits for your immune system and get even help with detoxifying your body. Cellerciser is ideal for people of all shapes, sizes, fitness levels and ages
